In these challenging times, now more than ever at Big Brothers Big Sisters, we’re doing everything we can to continue to meet the needs of the children we serve.
he families of our “Littles” are some of the hardest hit by the economic effects of the coronavirus, and during this financial and societal hardship, we still have a mission to complete.
Our nonprofit and the people we serve face a drastic decline in services at a time when our efforts are greatly needed. We reach some of the most vulnerable in our communities and provide them with a program that is essential to our community.
With more than 400 youth waiting for a Big Brother or Sister, we are still actively working to enroll children and virtually match them with “Bigs” during this time.
Research shows that youth in the Rochester City School District matched with a mentor through BBBS have a 100% graduate rate. We want to ensure that continues through support for existing mentoring relationships and the creation of matches for the over 400 children on our waiting list.
We are in need of support from donors, volunteers and partners to help ignite our youths’ potential during this critical time. No matter how little or big the amount, donations directly support children in our community and help make a life-changing difference in their lives.
May we ask you to consider being a part of ensuring these children have a meaningful mentor in their lives?
